Exciting new waves are about to rock Singapore’s seas just before the year ends. The Ritz-Carlton’s cruise arm is launching its Luminara superyacht this month, and our sunny island has been chosen as its home port. What this means is that a schedule of all-new sea adventures embarking from or docking in Singapore are now an option – all with an unmatched level of luxury and class.

This comes months before the launch of the new Disney Adventure Cruise embarking from Singapore, which has since been delayed to March 2026 instead of its original planned date in December 2025.

The first thing you should know about the Ritz-Carlton’s Luminara yacht? Windowless underground rooms aren’t an option here. All cabins are spacious suites with their own private balconies, with ocean panoramas never far from view. That should give you an idea of the level of luxury you’re dealing with. Even the lowest tier comes with a king bed, a double vanity bathroom, 24-hour in-room dining, and a complimentary minibar stocked based on your liking.

The Luminara boasts a total of six dining concepts, including a premium Korean concept and a chill pool bar where you can lounge by the pool while sipping cocktails. Relax with amenities like the Ritz-Carlton Spa, a gym with personalised nutrition guidance, an open-deck bar, and social lounge.

Now, brace yourselves for the prices: The cheapest route on the schedule so far is a one-way, nine-night voyage, starting from Colombo, Sri Lanka and landing in Singapore after stops in Galle, Port Blair, Phuket, and Langkawai. This costs a handsome USD9800 (~S$12,678) – clearly a number that needs mulling over. But should you be fortunate enough to make the splurge, it’s sure to be the sail of a lifetime. Think of it as an all-in-one multi-country trip, with the best service and amenities by one of the biggest hospitality brands in the world, and it’s worth every penny in that sense.

Other start/end points include Hong Kong, Maldives, Ho Chi Minh, and Bali.

Find out more about the Luminara ship under The Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection here and check out the full cruise schedule involving Singapore here. But fair warning: take to the seas on this beauty, and regular cruises as you know them will never feel the same again.
