A new hotel is set to open in Singapore! This time, it's by The Standard, a boutique hotel brand that was founded in West Hollywood in 1999 and has since expanded to cities like New York, Florida and London. You'll probably recognise its upside-down sign which alludes to the hotel brand aiming to turn hospitality on its head – something you can expect from the new hotel in Singapore.
The 143-key hotel boasts a prime location on Orange Grove Road, and will be one of the few hotels to be built from the ground up in Orchard Road. Besides the bustling shopping belt, the hotel will also be a short walk from the lush Singapore Botanical Gardens through the Nassim neighbourhood. The Standard, Singapore will be a social hub featuring the brand's signature restaurant and nightlife vibrancy, and arts and cultural programming along with an infinity pool and pool bar set within a lush botanical courtyard.
In addition to the new hotel in Singapore, The Standard is also expanding its portfolio with upcoming hotels in Bangkok, Hua Hin and Melbourne – each dynamic cities in their own right.
