To round off the year, we got the entire Time Out Singapore office to answer this question: ‘What’s your favourite memory of 2017?’ Read on to see what our colleagues had to say and here's to a happy new year to all our readers!

“Celebrating my father’s 80th birthday in Italy with three generations of our family. Happy emotions for us all being together in one place before my family jumped on a plane and moved to Singapore to start another chapter in our lives.” – Tim Webb, Managing Director

“Travelling to Moscow by train from Latvia! It was a 16-hour ride in a third-class carriage packed with other people who didn’t speak a lick of English but it made me fall in love with rail travel. The destination at the end of the journey (and dining at White Rabbit, one of the World’s 50 Best) was a bonus.” – Nicole-Marie Ng, Acting Editor

“Seeing Dua Lipa do her signature moves on stage at Good Vibes in Genting Highlands – she really knows how to work the crowd! Then on day two, I was ankle deep in mud and soaked through at LANY and Kodaline’s sets but it was such a memorable weekend.” – Michelle Ng, Section Editor

“I had the rare opportunity to learn how to ice-skate from the folks at Disney on Ice and it was so much fun! It was a gruelling two-hour session but I can do backwards crossovers and forward lunges like a pro now. Easy peasy (not really).” – Sofiana Ramli, Writer

“Finally witnessed my best friend tying the knot with her ‘baby’! Grateful to be the maid of honour and had the unexpected chance of forming precious friendships with the bridesmaids. (You guys are an awesome, albeit crazy, bunch!)” – Jolene Hooy, Editorial Intern

“A couple of my friends got married this year and we planned out various hen’s night activities for the brides-to-be. We were all busy with work and hadn’t met for some time, so this doubled up as a chance to catch up over alcohol and karaoke.” – Zoe Lai, Designer

“Grad trip with my friends. Apart from some struggles with calculating money and booking the wrong flight (not by me though) – we had to pull together all our money to get another ticket – we did everything we wanted to do.” – Ngo Ha Le, Design Intern

“I finally found some time to build my little edible garden – I grow mint, basil, tarragon, chilli and some vegetables for my bunnies on my patio.” – Jane Beh, Finance Manager

“Staying in the heart of Shanghai’s Lujiazui with my boyfriend, we drank at amazing hotel bars and strolled along Pudong’s side of The Bund and had a perfect night.” – Michelle Ong, Senior Sales Manager
