The viral Grimace Shake finally hits McDonald’s Singapore with a limited-time menu and more

Including the new Creamy Mushroom Deluxe Burgers, exclusive merchandise and a special pop-up in Bugis

Let’s rewind to 2023, when McDonald’s in the United States stirred up the internet with the Grimace Shake, launched to celebrate the mascot's 52nd birthday. The unique purple drink quickly gained popularity and took on a life of its own online, turning into a viral TikTok moment.

Since then, the cult favourite has popped up as a limited-time treat in countries including the UK, Australia, New Zealand, Japan and Hong Kong. And for Singapore? The wait is finally over. 

This March, McDonald’s in Singapore finally brings the viral Grimace Shake to local menus, alongside a hearty lineup of Creamy Mushroom Cheeseburgers, collectible merch and even a Grimace-themed activation at Bugis Junction.

The fruity, mixed berry-flavoured shake may be the headline act, but the Creamy Mushroom Cheeseburgers are just as worthy of the spotlight. Each one comes stacked with juicy beef patties, melted cheese and a generous slather of savoury mushroom sauce that leans fully into rich, comforting flavours. Expect options like the Creamy Mushroom Double Cheeseburger and Triple Cheeseburger, alongside the more indulgent Creamy Mushroom Deluxe and Double Deluxe for those who like their burgers properly stacked with thicker patties. Fans of crispy sides should also keep an eye out for Star Potato, a playful new addition that’s set to add a little extra crunch to your tray.

Of course, the purple fun doesn’t stop at the menu. Throughout the campaign period, weekly Grimace merchandise drops will keep collectors on their toes. Adorable plushies and puffer bags will be available with eligible meal purchases, including Extra Value Meal, Upsized Extra Value Meal, 2x Value Meal, or Family Meal – limited to one per purchase while stocks last. 

There’s also a limited Grimace tumbler, available exclusively through the McDonald’s app, priced at $19.90 with a minimum $10 spend via the app deal.

If you’re out and about in town, make a pit stop at Bugis Junction, where a Grimace statue activation will be popping up during the campaign period. Scan the QR codes on the statues and you could unlock surprise deals through the McDonald’s app – a handy bonus before your next burger run.
