He tells you to call out (his) name, and now he finally hears you – The Weeknd (real name Abel Tesfaye) is playing in Singapore on December 5 as part of his first Asia tour. The Starboy announced the highly-anticipated Asia tour via Twitter and Instagram, and is stopping by cities like Hong Kong, Bangkok, Manila, Bali, Taipei, Seoul and Tokyo from November 30 to December 18. Details such as the concert venues and ticket sales have yet to be released, but with the Canadian R&B sensation's legion of lovesick fans, expect a massive queue for tickets (we recommend camping out for them).

The enigmatic star started out anonymously through a trio of mixtapes – House Of Balloons, Thursday and Echoes Of Silence – which racked him positive receptions from both critics and fans alike. Fast forward to today and multi-award winner has grown his catalogue of Michael Jackson and Prince-influenced discography with full-length studio albums including Kiss Land, Beauty Behind the Madness and Starboy. With a resume that includes playing sold-out shows, headlining festivals and even performing down the runway at Victoria's Secret shows, The Weeknd clearly shows no sign of slowing down. And if the Asian show is anything like his fiery international tour filled with stunning visuals and an explosive setlist (and special guests!), expect a slick concert where you'll be screaming along to sultry hits like The Hills, Can't Feel My Face, I Feel it Coming and Call Out My Name from his latest EP My Dear Melancholy

Stay tuned for more details.
