Most people step into Prada at ION Orchard with one thing on their mind: shopping. But tucked inside the duplex luxury boutique is a stylish secret that surprisingly few people know about – an elegant Milanese caffé serving everything from truffle-topped brunch plates and afternoon tea to tableside rituals and year-round panettone, with seasonal flavours making appearances along the way.

Make your way to the back of the boutique, where you’ll find a space that’s instantly recognisable to Prada fans – the Italian fashion house’s signature green splashed across velvet sofas and walls, while the striking black-and-white chequered floor pays homage to its historic flagship in Milan.

The real surprise, however, is found on the menu. While Prada Caffè has its signatures, many of its savoury and sweet treats are refreshed with seasonal flavours every few months. The caffé's much-loved small cakes remain menu staples, but their flavours evolve with the seasons, showcasing ingredients like apricots, berries, Sicilian lemons and Bronte pistachios. You might even find traditional veal and tuna sauce served on its own, or served on freshly baked focaccia on the next visit. These subtle changes keep regulars coming back, turning what could have been a one-time novelty into a dining experience that evolves throughout the year.

The pastry counter is worth lingering over. Sitting pretty behind glass are colourful miniature works of art – from Saint-Honoré and pastel-coloured cakes to berry tartlets and artisanal Italian panettone, each one as photogenic as it is delicious.

But the real fun begins when the experience comes tableside. Coffee lovers can indulge in the Specialty Coffee Ritual, where premium Colombian Arabica beans are brewed using a Chemex and served directly at your table. Tea drinkers can opt for the Tea Ritual, a curated tasting experience that turns an everyday cuppa into a moment worth savouring.

Even cocktails get the ritual treatment. The Negroni Ritual reimagines the classic Italian aperitif with inventive variations such as strawberry, green apple and lemon. Watch the bartender finish the serve at your table with a fragrant spritz and jellies on the side designed to complement the drink.

Then there's the newly launched Gelato Experience. More than just a scoop of ice cream, it lets you customise your dessert with flavours like pistachio, dark chocolate, vanilla or strawberry sorbet, paired with sauces, toppings and aromatic accents.

Sounds like a lot? The afternoon tea experience is one of the best ways to sample the menu, with madeleines, chocolate pralines, candied fruits, pastries and savoury canapés served alongside tea or coffee. The weekday set lunch is another easy entry point, offering a main course, dessert and coffee or tea for $55 – a greatest-hits taster of the Prada Caffè experience.

If you've ever wondered what happens when fashion meets food, this might just be your answer. Book a table here.
