BYD by 1826 launches a café-led, pet-friendly automotive-lifestyle hub in Jurong, designed around everyday life

If you think car spaces are all shiny bonnets and sales talk, BYD by 1826 at Jurong’s IMM is here to gently tap the brakes on that idea. Open from February 10, this new automotive-lifestyle hub feels less like a place to buy a car and more like somewhere you’d actually want to hang out – coffee in hand, pet in tow, zero pressure to even hold a driving licence.
Set within IMM, the BYD by 1826 Experiential Hub reimagines what an automotive-lifestyle destination can look like when it puts community, comfort and culture in the driver’s seat. Yes, there are electric vehicles on display, but they share space with a café-led setup, relaxed interiors and the kind of easygoing vibe that invites you to linger rather than lap the showroom and leave.
The space brings together two distinct personalities under one leafy roof. BYD by 1826 champions everyday electric mobility, woven seamlessly into daily life, while DENZA at IMM introduces a more premium, design-forward expression of electric luxury. One space, two lifestyles – different ways to move forward, but one place that encourages you to slow down.
Even if cars aren’t your thing, there’s plenty to pull you in. Think locally inspired fusion fare, specialty coffee, ceremonial-grade matcha and a pet-friendly layout. Modelled after the brand’s Zhongshan Park outlet, the design leans calming rather than flashy, with natural materials, greenery and light-filled corners that make it feel closer to a neighbourhood café than a traditional car showroom. That’s the whole “Beyond the Drive” idea in action.
You don’t need to be a driver to enjoy this space. Swing by for coffee, bring your pet, and treat it like your new West-side chill spot – the cars are just part of the scenery. Find out more here.
