This new tea house is reason enough to make a trip to Joo Chiat.

Tucked inside In Good Company's newly opened three-storey shophouse, Miura is a brand-new Japanese tea and wagashi concept from the team behind the cosy Japanese-inspired café Paaru

You’ll find the tea stand on the ground floor alongside a curated wall of lifestyle finds from independent brands. Meanwhile, the second level houses In Good Company's womenswear, menswear and accessories collections, while the loft on the top level has been set aside for workshops, creative collaborations and community programming.

On the menu, you’ll find that Miura is keeping things intentionally understated. Instead of flashy drinks or novelty desserts, it revolves around carefully brewed Japanese teas paired with handcrafted wagashi, all guided by the principle of omotenashi – the Japanese philosophy of anticipating guests' needs through sincere hospitality.

The tea stand also sets the tone for In Good Company’s newest retail concept, which encourages visitors to browse, pause and linger at an unhurried pace. Located at 316 Joo Chiat Road, the homegrown label has taken over a conserved 3,000-square-foot shophouse. Much of the building's original charm has been left intact, with exposed brick walls, timber flooring, wooden beams and the original spiral staircase.

The local brand's latest collection was also launched alongside the new space, featuring relaxed silhouettes crafted from breathable fabrics like cotton, rayon and viscose in a palette of warm neutrals.

And there's plenty to browse beyond fashion, too. Think handcrafted ceramics by Dear Tuesday, wellness products from Anotherland, sculptural bags by Studio Karyn Lim, furniture by Nathan Home, and handcrafted metal objects from Baremetal.
