American rock band Weezer is set to perform in Singapore this October 11 at The Star Theatre, making this the only stop in Asia in their Indie Rock Roadtrip World Tour. Following their last show in 2016, this will be their second time performing in our sunny island.
The name Weezer needs no introduction; formed in 1992, the band has produced global sensations like Say It Ain't So, Island In The Sun, Pork And Beans, and Beverly Hills. The members include Rivers Cuomo (vocals, guitar, keyboards), Patrick Wilson (drums and vocals), Scott Shriner (bass guitar, keyboards, backing vocals), and Brian Bell (guitar, keyboards, backing vocals).
They have clinched several awards including Grammy Award for Best Music Video for the song Pork and Beans, MTV Video Music Award, as well as the Kerrang! Hall of Fame Award.
Especially curated for Singapore, the band has decided to include the beloved National Day Parade anthem Home in their upcoming concert, after much deliberation on how to make this show a truly special one for us. Additionally, we can look forward to joining in on the fun with some of Weezer's most cherished fan-favourite hits!
