Throw your name into the draw for a chance to score free tickets to this F1 event

Get ready to rumble – the highly anticipated Formula 1 Singapore races are just around the corner. Didn’t manage to score tickets to any relays in your preferred category? Don’t stew in the FOMO just yet, because here’s a little hack: Try your luck in balloting for a pair of free Formula 1 Thursday Pit Lane Experience tickets. Read on for the lowdown on how you can get in on this Grand Prix perk.
First of all, you need to know what exactly it is that you’re throwing your name into the pit for. The Singapore F1 Thursday Pit Lane Experience isn’t a race, so don’t expect to see cars roaring through the track. That said, it’s still an affair worth getting excited over as this highly exclusive experience lets you stand along the side of the race lanes for a close-up glimpse of the F1 race cars and team garages – something not many get the privilege of.
The process is simple. Just head to the Singapore Grand Prix website, answer an F1 trivia question correctly, fill in your personal details and you’re done. Spoiler: The question is “Which year was the inaugural Singapore Grand Prix held in?”
Google is your best friend *wink*.
Each winner will receive a pair of tickets.
Successful applicants will be contacted by September 26. Do also check your junk/spam folder to ensure you don’t miss out.
Clear your calendar for October 2. The Pit Lane event will be from 7.15pm to 11pm at Marina Bay Street Circuit on that date.
No, you can’t. The only way to score some of the 4,500 spots available for this experience is through balloting – very much like vying for National Day Parade tickets.
Only Singaporeans and Permanent Residents (PRs) are able to enter the draw for the Singapore F1 Thursday Pit Lane Experience. That said, tourists and foreigners can still attend the event if they have a local friend with tickets who offers to bring them along.
