Sheraton Belitung Resort’s family-friendly retreat offers a closer look at the island’s marine life with island-hopping and snorkelling excursions

Your next tropical escape has basically planned itself. Scoot has officially launched direct flights from Singapore to Belitung, Indonesia’s quietly gorgeous island often dubbed the “Seychelles of Asia”, with services running twice weekly on Wednesdays and Sundays. Before you start dreading the actual planning, Sheraton Belitung Resort has also rolled out a fully planned family retreat designed to line up neatly with Scoot’s new flight schedule.
Perched on the northern edge of the Belitung Archipelago, Tanjung Kelayang Reserve has giant granite boulders scattered across calm turquoise waters, hidden coves, tiny offshore islets and pristine coastlines. The 350-hectare sustainable tourism estate sits within the UNESCO Global Geoparks Network-recognised Belitung UNESCO Global Geopark, where coral reefs, protected forests and dramatic granite headlands are all part of the package. More than half of the reserve’s land and marine space is protected, giving the island a refreshingly unspoiled feel in a world of over-filtered beach destinations.
Sheraton Belitung Resort’s family-friendly retreat leans into both adventure and downtime, with island-hopping and snorkelling excursions offering a closer look at Belitung’s calm northern waters and marine life. For May 2026, prices start at $598 per room for a 4D3N stay and $698 per room for a 5D4N stay. Each package includes a Deluxe Room Garden View, daily breakfast, return airport transfers, island-hopping and snorkelling experiences, a honey farm visit, afternoon tea, and a choice between the Whistle Trail experience or a 30-minute foot massage. Guests also score 20 per cent savings on food, drinks and spa treatments, alongside guaranteed early check-in and breakfast on arrival for those landing on painfully early flights.
Prices for flights are now hovering between $110 to $200 (accurate at the time of writing). Book your flights via Scoot’s webpage here.
