This New Year’s Eve, skip the regular ol’ countdown parties at the club and start 2018 on a high note at the Siloso Beach Party. Back for its 11th edition, the party brings revellers from across the region to Siloso Beach Sentosa on December 31 from 6pm to 6am. Send off 2017 with a bang – there’s an exciting line-up of the hottest DJs, a massive fireworks display and a giant foam pool. Here’s how you and your mates can bid farewell to the year in style.

Electronic duo Bassjackers – comprising best buds Marlon Flohr and Ralph van Hilst – are set to helm the decks at this year’s countdown celebration. Best known for churning out club bangers including Fireflies and These Heights, the Dutch pair’s electrifying mix of big room music is gonna keep you on your feet all night long. Coming in at 35 on DJ Mag’s 2017 Top 100 DJs, the Bassjackers is one act all you EDM heads definitely wanna check off your bucket list.
The time has come – you can finally show off those dance moves you’ve been practicing in your bedroom. Boogie the night away to grooves led by top-notch and emerging homegrown beatmakers such as DJ Kaylova, DJ Caden and DJ Ollie-Des. These local DJs are also joined by regional party favourites including DJ Jenni-F from Malaysia and Japan’s very own VDJ Ta-Shi.
Crowned as the ultimate winner at this year’s Sentosa’s DJ Spin Off – a two weekend-long competition held in search of the countdown’s opening act –Kendrick Aung Soe, or better known as The Kendrick, gets to showcase his turntable wizardry in front of thousands of party-goers. The young Yangon native has spun next to dance music legends such as Arfojack, Armin van Buuren and Martin Garrix. Watch out, because you’re about to witness an icon in the making.

Start picking out your favourite bikini or board shorts ladies and gents – Siloso Beach Party’s signature foam pool returns with even more bubbly and soapy fun, featuring more than 50,000 litres of foamy water. That’s enough to fill three tennis courts. Hit the dancefloor and get ready to throw some serious shapes – all without slipping and sliding, we dare you. Fair warning, you won’t be coming out clean. But we bet you already knew that.
Killer beach view, check. An epic party under the stars, check. Fireworks at midnight? Triple check. When the clock strikes 12, prepare for a stunning five-minute-long showcase of pyrotechnics, laser lights and fireworks that’s happening right on Siloso’s beachfront. Now all that’s left is for you to find that perfect someone to share that New Year’s smooch with.
What’s a party without some food and drinks? Indulge in the Fingerlicker Platter, which piles on barbecue chicken wings, fishball, chicken nuggets and potato wedges. Or get messy with the Samurai Meatballs on Bun – it’s teriyaki chicken sandwiched between two sesame buns that’s topped with mayonnaise, bonito flakes and seaweed, and served with a side of mash potato and pickled salad. On the drinks menu chug down Singha beers and Party Buckets, which includes shots of bourbon, vodka, gin or rum with either coke, sprite or Monster drink.
