What’s on

Slava’s Snowshow

At Slava Polunin’s Snowshow, clowning around is highly encouraged and growing up is totally optional. The beloved Russian performer’s signature wordless production trades your traditional clown act and circus clichés for something a bit more magical and whimsical, blending slapstick comedy and visual theatre for an immersive experience that’ll bring on the laughs. More than just a juggling performance and balloon sculpting, expect an adventure filled with mischievous mimes, surreal set pieces and playful chaos at every corner. Be swept away by roaring winds, blanketed in swirling snow, and get caught in a giant spider web. Sounds bizarre? Because it really is. And that’s the thing – all you’ve gotta do is surrender to your imagination and discover the joy of silliness, no matter your age.

The lineup this year features an extensive mix of returning favourites and exciting newcomers that you can sample from. Look forward to familiar names like Umenoyado, Miyasaka Brewing and Katoukichibee Shouten, as well as the first-time appearance of Katsuyama from Miyagi Prefecture. Hear from the makers themselves the stories behind the labels, and learn about the different techniques and craftsmanship that go into making each pour unique. As always, the best part is that each session includes unlimited tastings. So get ready to raise your glass as you sip your way through every corner of the festival. Also for the first time, the 2026 Sake Meguri features an exclusive VIP session on Friday, July 24. During the four-hour session, you’ll get to enjoy rare and super-premium sakes from popular labels, while also mingling with the brewers and experts.
