Discovering recently-declassified documents from Portugal’s 48 years of dictatorship, theatre-maker Tiago Rodrigues lets the inspectors’ censorship of plays inspire him to create this ironic work, which is about the power of theatre and its ability to make authority figures fear and want to silence it.
