Inclusivity, play and kindness – those are the main themes of Enabling Village’s Summer Playground. Happening over the weekend, this event ensures that people of all abilities can get involved and connect with others, all whilst having fun. From a magic show to outdoor movie screenings and drop-in craft stations, expect a series of activities that the whole family can enjoy together.
The main highlight of Summer Playground is the thoughtfully curated workshop programme. They’re each designed to cater to different interests, with sessions that range from confidence-building activities to sensory-driven experiences. Pick up a new skill through chess lessons, yoga classes and taiko drumming demonstrations, or unleash your creative side with clay sculpting, DIY shrink art, printmaking and paracord weaving. You can also sign up for a sewing class that’ll teach you how to turn leftover materials and pre-loved clothing into a personalised stuffed toy.
Most of the workshops are free with registration, while others require a ticket. Be sure to check here for the full list of programmes and details before heading down.
