Located in a two storey shophouse along Beach Road, Azúcar (sugar in Spanish) exudes a laidback vibe, complete with an alfresco veranda dining space. The pan-European menu is reasonably priced and features interesting creations such as the funky-coloured Beetroot Soup, the highly-satisfying Mixed Seafood Saffron Pasta, and the surprisingly tasty Grilled Salmon. Spanish sangrias and German beers are served here as well, which goes well with meaty mains like the Grilled Baby Back Ribs and the Roasted Pork Knuckle. Expect dishes of the freshest quality paired with special home-made sauces like the creamy mayo Thai chilli, available to purchase by the bottle upon request.
