Nestled in the back of the Tanjong Pagar Plaza HDB, this tiny takeaway bakery is a gem among the local dry cleaners and coffee shops. A single fluffy muffin is enough for breakfast on the go, but with flavours ranging from cheese to double chocolate to blueberry, you’ll be hard pressed to choose just one. Other sweet treats include chocolate walnut brownies and a hearty strawberry cheesecake. The peach ground-almond fruit flan is a standout, a crisp pie crust full of fruit and a moist, tart-like filling that’s most definitely not your typical gelatinous custard from a can. Take care not to arrive too late in the afternoon, as once they run out of freshly baked goods, they close up shop for the day. Whole flans and cheesecakes have to be ordered at least two days in advance.
