Time Out says

Dempsey Bus Park on the corner of Dempsey and Holland Rd is a meeting point for those joining the Navarathri Night Tour.

The grass is always greener on the otherside, or so they say. So enter the newly refurbished enclave of Dempsey Hill, which is giving its neighbour, Holland Village, a run for its money. Gone are the days when the former British Army barracks were only ever associated with Samy’s Curry Restaurant. Now, there are18 different lifestyle, food and beverage outlets to graze through, like Spa Esprit’s newest addition, House, and Australian gourmet store Jones the Grocer. Also, the air is fresher, the vibe more relaxed and the surroundings a fair bit greener. Guess the old saying is true, after all.

Dempsey Block Party

DJ sets, a live band, and loads of food and drinks. That’s what you can expect at this all-day Dempsey Block Party. Eat your way through the afternoon with bites from Bar Cicheti, Culina at COMO Dempsey, Ye Olde Cow and more. We also hear there’s going to be two beer trucks, and plenty of wine, highballs, cocktails and mocktails to go around. So come thirsty. Got to bring the brood along? No problem. There are enough kids' activities to keep them occupied. Look forward to bubble shows and balloon sculpting, as well as face painting sessions and glitter tattoos. For the crafty juniors, get them busy with sensory art, vegetable printing and a workshop on air clay and puffy paint. Meanwhile, on the music front, expect back-to-back DJ sets throughout the day as different selectors bring their own flavours and mixes to the decks. The entertainment lineup rounds out with an evening performance of throwback Mambo hits by local band OK Ready.
