Eighty million dollars and a year later, the third level of the entirely made-over Rasa Sentosa Resort has been divvied up into three restaurants and a bar: Casserole, Silver Shell Café, 8 Noodles and The Bubble Bar. The three dining concepts – South-East Asian, Mediterranean and Western dishes served in casseroles; Western buffet with six live cooking stations and a kids’ buffet area; and a 1960s corner kopitiam serving MSG-free noodles respectively – are all linked by a walkway and cross-restaurant ordering is possible. Make full use of that service and order up Casserole’s tender, deep-hued braised pork knuckle and 8 Noodles’ giant bowl of dumpling soup noodles that comes with six dumplings, each enveloping a full-sized prawn – the latter’s well worth the $10.80 asking price.
