Taking up residence at the old Bukit Timah Fire Station, this gastrobar has set alight a once sleepy part of the island. Making use of the quaint barracks, first built in the ’50s, and bordering Bukit Timah Hill, the café/bar draws an eclectic blend of local and expat customers. While the mains don’t break any new ground, the sizeable gourmet pizzas and ample selection of tapas, imported beers and cocktails are sure to arouse an appetite in most. Though the young, less experienced wait-staff has yet to find its feet, the Firestation is a decent locale to chow down with the gang before the night really begins to smoulder.
Costs: Main courses $18-$30
