A dark, romantic and low-ceilinged space creates an intimately elegant setting for a warm Italian meal. The main dining room has been sectioned off into small alcoves, arranged around an inner courtyard that resembles a garden with a flowing stream. Leather booth seats are complemented with streamlined modern armchairs, and a glass-enclosed wine cellar doubles up as a private room for ten. Chef Moreno Martini showcases home specialities from north-eastern Italy and the prosecco-producing region, alongside a whole section of the menu honouring mozzarella from the town of Battipaglia in southern Italy. Pairing well with the focused menu, oenophiles may choose from a generous list of wines, 90 per cent of which are Italian.
