Former Wall Street-er Christopher Tung’s food and wine pursuits led to an apprenticeship in Italy where he later opened a cooking school. He has now teamed with his former mentor, Michelin-starred chef Michele Sorrentino, to set up this white-tableclothed Tuscan in a black-and-white bungalow away from the city. How apt. Expect classically plated rustic ingredients like handmade tagliatelle in a meat and mushroom ragout ($28) for primi piatti (first courses). The butternut squash and filo pastry timbale with parmesan sauce ($20) antipasti has us salivating.
