Opened by two beer-loving female professionals, Laffio will satisfy those who have a standing obsession with smokey and crusty foods. Find in Laffio’s simple fare a dry rub steak ($29) with burnt garlic, roasted vine tomato, salsa verde and marrow sauce accompanied with chargrilled lime, and a beer-battered pangasius catfish ($21) with smoked cauliflower puree, which will go well with the Belgian Tripel Karmeliet beer ($16) that promises some spicy lemony swigs, plus the richmalty Old Speckled Hen English pale ale ($15) offered. For breakfast, try the French toast ($13), stuffed with peanut butter mousse and banana and topped with a vanilla ice cream.
