The Paradise Group steps into more glamourous territory with this flashy venue, a change of pace from their range of more conventional Chinese restaurants including Seafood Paradise and Taste Paradise. LÈ offers two concepts in one: a chic lounge area that serves as the first stop for visitors, featuring a bar lounge (open from 3pm daily) complete with a DJ booth and a tapas show kitchen, where items such as braised cherry foie gras with red wine ($26/four) and mantou burgers with braised USDA prime beef ($16/four) are prepared exclusively for the lounge. From there, guests can continue through into the cavernous 212-seat dining room for a full lunch or dinner. Contemporary Chinese and fusion options such as the Coral trout poached in lobster broth ($16/100g), the Dirty Duck ($38/half, $68/ whole) – a deep-fried version of Peking Duck – or pan-seared chunks of Grade 9 Australian Wagyu ($160/200g) are prepared tableside. A dim sum menu is also available, as is a cocktail list from the bar, featuring Asian-inspired cocktails such as the rainbow-coloured LÈ Special ($22) – like an ice kachang with Bacardi and gula melaka – or the warm Silky Road in Summer ($22) – their take on a teh halia with rum.
