There’s something to be said for tucking into a rich, burgundy-hued Keralan fish curry while sitting on Mango Tree’s bijou timber deck facing the beach: it’s almost a scene straight out of a glossy travel magazine. Smallish portions aside, there’s no faulting the kitchen’s finesse, whether it’s an extraordinary plate of prawns redolent with the scent of coconut, or tender nuggets of chicken in a lava-like tomato gravy.
