A collaborative effort between the Massive Collective club kids, restaurateurs The Prive Group and Joshua Schwartz, who’s racked up experience opening and consulting restaurants in New York, Match is a diner and bar that plays up the have-it-your-way steakhouse fare that’s offered till late (11pm) on Mondays and Tuesdays and very late (3am) from Wednesday to Saturday. Pick from meats and seafood like free-range iberico pork collar ($32), wagyu ribeye with a marble score of seven ($95) and wild-caught Atlantic cod ($36) to pair with morel mushroom with merlot or shellfish bisque sauces, caramelised onion tart, risotto cakes or duck liver (add $4) and veggie sides to create your own mains plate. Given the Massive Collective’s involvement, expect a soundtrack of deep house, nu-disco and electric lounge to accompany the bar experience, which includes champagne cocktails ($27), classic cocktails ($16-$18) and late night snacks like sea urchin rice balls ($15) and fresh oysters (market price).
