Nestled in the Dempsey area, Oktober Munich Restaurant and Bar is the latest place to go for fans of German cuisine (or a hearty brunch). Their in-house specialities include Stärker beer which comes in three kinds; aromatic, lager and dunkel. Recommended dishes include steam baked pork knuckles in beer sauce ($39), Wagyu beef loins in red wine sauce ($49). Sunday brunch (from 9am-5pm) is even for the teetotalers, giving an option for free-flow coffee, tea, and fruit juice along with every main course – Oktober brunch set ($20). Try the eggs benedict ($16) or sausage platter (ranges $15-$77/12 sausages). Bar prices have a pint of Starker beer at $18; happy hour prices go down to $7.50 before 7pm and $9.90 before 11pm.
