Kudos to Novena Square for seeding its new block Square 2 with fancy-free and good-value eateries. One of these, Old Chang Kee Take 5, serves up local favourites in large quantities and at ridiculous prices – like the not-too-creamy laksa, fragrant curry chicken and perfectly crisp chicken wings. The large brick of tahu goreng is, at $2, a real bargain.
