Time Out says

The only standalone pavilion at the revamped CHIJMES, Privé’s new Instagram-worthy restaurant uses natural and raw furnishings, such as bamboo chick blinds and teak wood furniture to enhance its casual alfresco setting. Just like its original restaurant at Marina at Keppel Bay, expect old favourites like the eggs benedict ($16) and smoked duck and orange salad ($18), and new dishes like the spicy spaghetti ariabatta with pan-roasted slipper lobster ($25).

This was the first Privé branch that I visited a year ago with my aunt. It's located a walk away from the City Hall MRT station and nestled in CHIJMES by the church. We came on the weekend to grab brunch with my aunt's friend and I'd say I left full and satisfied!

My aunt and I decided to build-our-own brunch plates and then share a Croque Monsieur. The latter was done pretty well with a good amount of cheese that was melted and grilled on top. It was stuffed with good quality ham, which didn't taste too salty so it balanced out nicely with the cheese. However, I wasn't too big a fan of the bread, as I found it wasn't toasted enough in some areas. However, I did like the side salad that it came served with, as this added colour to the plate and some different textures.

For the build-your-own plate, I had Smoked Salmon, Mushrooms, and Avocado. These are some of my favourite ingredients for brunch and all tasted good. It's hard to go wrong with stir-frying mushrooms, smoked salmon is pretty standard, and the avocado was sliced evenly.

Altogether, it was a good amount of food to share because our build-our-own plates had no carbs, which the Croque Monsieur helped solve. To round off the meal, I ordered a Single Espresso. I didn't enjoy the coffee because it was really acidic and sour so it wasn't enjoyable to drink black.

In terms of the atmosphere, I liked how it was outdoors because it allowed for natural light and for some breeze while we ate. The ventilation was appropriate, given how hot and humid it is outdoors, which works out well for our comfort. The service was good too, with our food not taking long to arrive and our waiters being friendly.
