Beautifully integrating the lush rainforest outdoors with the warmly lit indoors, this small oasis of a restaurant offers respite from the busy city. Wooden slats on a spacious alfresco deck extend out from the main dining room; the lounge area in the corner allows for quiet drinks over an international list of premium wines. Rich, elegant dishes are the order of the day: try braised veal cheek with pappardelle pasta, sautéed with mushrooms in a white-wine sauce ($22), or grilled tiger prawns served on a bed of spanner-crab cake with tomato salsa, fried leek and lemongrass beurre blanc ($32). End with sweet treats such as their classic strawberry and cheese trifle made with cream-cheese custard, rum, vanilla joconde and fresh strawberries ($10). A special children’s menu and tapas list are available for those with lesser appetites.
