A community baking enterprise that unites several home bakers in one kitchen and sets them free to do what they love best. Becky Whisk, the founder of Whisk and Fold, put her appetite for baking to good use when she set up the company in 2009.
The wide array of desserts comes courtesy of a selection of bakers with their own specialised signature products. Delcie’s Desserts and Cakes offers healthy, organic, sugar-free and low-calorie baked goods like the bestselling Blueberry Tea-Cake Loaf ($38) and the classic Mini Chocolate Mud Fudge Cake ($40). Baked and Eaten is the resident chocolate brownie expert, with its emphasis on quality, home-made rich brownies in flavours like Dark Chocolate and Cranberry ($3.50), or Chocolate and Walnut ($3.50).
Sweet Contour, meanwhile, creates beautifully customised cakes (from $42) decked out with fairies, cars, cartoon characters, flowers, instruments or anything else you want your cake to be. Petite Bakehouse produces sweet little treats like the all-time hit Carrot ’n’ Coconut Cheezy Swirl cupcake ($24 for box of 16), with carrot and desiccated coconut with cream-cheese fudge icing, or the kids’ favourite Banana Choc Swirl cupcake with chocolate ganache ($24 for box of 16).
