Telok Ayer has a new chocolate factory, and it’s one without Charlie. We’re talking about Any1 Choco – a Japanese chocolate brand bringing to us satisfying plant-based milk and dark chocolates.
As the name speaks for itself, anyone can indulge in Any1 Choco. That’s because all of their chocolate products are entirely plant-based, dairy-free and gluten-free, crafted with hand-picked ingredients by their in-house Japanese chef.
The menu covers two main categories: chocolate ice cream (Choco Ice) and chocolate drinks (Choco Drink). It doesn’t sound like anything too fancy at first, but under those categories entail a wide range of interesting flavour options.
For the most part, when we think of chocolate ice cream, a thick and dense consistency comes to mind. Here’s your cue to throw that notion away and have a taste of Any1 Choco’s light yet rich version. Choose from four flavours: Plant Based Milk Coconut, Plant Based White Coconut, Plant Based Dark Vietnam Cacao, and Plant Based Milk Blend Cacao. Those that enjoy sour flavours, give the Plant Based Dark Vietnam Cacao a go, made using Vietnamese cacao dark chocolate. And for the ones that are into coconut, we recommend ordering the Plant Based White Coconut, made using white chocolate and enriched coconut undertones. All ice cream is priced at $6.80 for a single scoop and $9.80 for a double.
Under the Choco Drink range, the menu is separated into two categories: regular and special, in both hot and iced options. Regular doesn’t mean plain old chocolate though – it still comes in three different selections: dark, milk, and white. The special category is catered to those that are looking to push the limits of chocolate. If you’re one of them, we recommend giving the iced Plant Based Milk Roasted Green Tea ($10.50) a go. Initially, it tastes like typical indulgent chocolate, but gradually transitions into an aftertaste reminiscent of finely roasted tea. Fruit-lovers, try the Plant Based Dark Raspberry ($10.50) or Plant Based White Strawberry ($10.50). There’re also passionfruit and coconut flavour options, so go crazy.
Apart from drinks and ice cream, Any1 Choco also has a bunch of pre-packed chocolates for sale in their striking brown and sky blue packaging. Bring home a plant-based Tablet ($13.80), which is essentially a chocolate bar, in similar flavours to their drinks and ice cream, or try out their special dragée mochi chocolate treats in flavours like coffee, roasted green tea, and mixed berry ($12.80).
