At times, a full day spent in the office might seem like a struggle. We chatted to local singer-songwriter Tabitha Nauser and bartender-mixologist Brendon Khoo to see where their favourite spots. When 6pm draws near, these are the four best rooftop bars that we should all head to, so we can happily unwind after work.

No surprise that the best time to head down to Dusk Restaurant & Bar is none other than dusk itself. When the sun sinks below the horizon, the panoramic sunset views are near breathtaking. After all, this alfresco rooftop bar stands a lofty 100 metres above sea level – the steady flow of cable cars coming in and out of Sentosa makes for an arresting sight.
The Mount Faber Singapore Sling ($18) here is a twist on our little red dot’s classic cocktail, using an award-winning Danish cherry wine. And of course, it comes with a much-needed refreshing splash of Schweppes Soda Water – when paired with citrusy notes of pineapple and lime, it’s exactly the burst of sparkle we need after a long work day.
When perched on the top of the 70th floor of the Swissotel The Stamford, you know instantly that it’ll be a bar with sweeping city views. At Skai Bar, order the classic Pina Colada ($25) – it’s a classic that’s mixed with pineapple juice and white rum. Plus, with a burst of Schweppes Tonic Water, this drink is the ideal cocktail to end a tiresome day after back-to-back meetings and stressful deadlines.
You can also opt for the Prima G&T ($25). This comes with a pour of gin and a splash of Schweppes Tonic Water.
Another standout bar that folks should head over to after a stressful work day is Level33 – it’s the world’s highest microbrewery so you can expect stunning views of the Marina Bay area. While they do have a constant stream of cold pints and tasty bar bites, they do also have a mojito ($26) that’s delightfully muddled with fresh lime, brown sugar, and mint leaves. It also uses Schweppes Ginger Beer, so you’ve instantly got a minty fresh pick-me-up.
This rooftop bar sits 57 floors up Marina Bay Sands – the sunset views are one of the main draws for most diners. But they’ve got a solid menu too, ranging from savoury bites like tempura zucchini flowers ($35) or hai baby corn ($25). Wash it all down with one of their specialty cocktails, like the Chandon Garden Spritz ($25). While it’s already a thirst-quenching glass for Singapore’s balmy nights, it’s worth asking for the drink to be topped off with a Schweppes Ginger Ale or Soda Water for an extra effervescent kick.
It’s been a long day at work – we all know how that feels. Countless work meetings, long client calls, and the much-dreaded list of emails you’ll need to reply after your lunch break. Let’s face it: it’s something that we’ve all been through before.
But the one thing we can look forward to is chilling out at a rooftop bar after work – take the chance to spend some quality time with friends or colleagues. Whether it’s Dusk Restaurant & Bar with its panoramic sunset views or a teepee hut concept in the middle of the city, there are plenty of options to unwind after a tiresome day at work.
