The hallyu wave now washes up sea creatures cooked the K-way at Captain K. This Prinsep Street restaurant serves towers of steamed scallops, prawns and oysters, à la the Louisiana boil, except they come in stackable metal towers. The meals here are meant to be shared, and you pay for the number of tiers you order, starting from $52.90 for a three-layer stack of seafood and crustaceans, all the way up to $288.90 for nine trays. The Captain offers three soup bases – a kimchi stew, classic kombu dashi stock and a ginseng broth – to cook your food in. Sixty-minute steamboat buffets ($14.90-$20.90) are offered during lunch, between 11am and 3pm.
