This cheekily-named chill-out spot is the latest addition to the (non-conservation) Tiong Bahru area. Ex-bankers Goh Zhiwei and Sean Lawlor, together with metal rocker Michael Leong, joined forces to set up a Melbourne-inspired, minimalist bar space that plays a diverse selection of music (put together by Leong) – you can’t miss the spray-painted ‘BALLS WILL ROLL’ sign out front. Name aside, they’re dead serious about their alcohol: a vast offering of more than 30 craft beers and cider ($12-$15), plus show-stoppers like the Chuck Norris ($25), in which three sets of absinthe are set on fire. There’s food as well, mainly Japanese fusion offerings such as the braised pork belly and teriyaki sandwich served with fries ($15)and curry chicken banzai with a side of bread or Japanese rice ($12.50).
