This newest addition sits amongst the quiet, elegant surroundings of Scotts Square, all pristine and decked out in regal colours of black, white and purple. The Cantonese dishes are a mix of contemporary and traditional, but what sets it apart is its emphasis on organic, nutritious ingredients and light meals – perfect for the business lunch crowd or health-conscious patrons. Offering an array of single-serve portions, communal items, organic sets and business set lunches, the menu is divided into double boiled soups, organic meats, nutritious dishes, ladies' specials, chef's signatures and dishes that require an advanced order. For a light start, try their savoury cordyceps flower and shredded cucumber with black garlic, paired with a crispy pan-fried scallop and vegetable paste pancake coated with almond flakes ($12/serving). Go for the unique, melt-in-your-mouth steamed chicken beancurd with ginseng and cordycep mushroom ($18/person), where a Malaysian kampong chicken meat is minced to a paste, mixed with herbal ingredients and steamed for about 20 minutes in a flavourful broth to achieve its silky beancurd-like texture. The braised beef with Chinese yam and red dates ($18/person) – rich in vitamins, iron and protein – is a nice concoction of tender meat and a slightly sweet sauce courtesy of the red dates. To end off the meal without feeling too overstuffed, order the boiled fresh lily bulb and organic pumpkin soup with osmanthus honey ($8/person) – refreshing dessert that will make you ready to get back to work.
