You’ll find chicken rice in all its variants at Encik Heng. Beyond the usual Hainanese-style, served in sets (comes with rice and soup) for one ($4.50), two ($12), and three ($15), the value-for-money eatery also serves sesame chicken ($5), and lemon chicken ($4.50) atop fragrant rice. Most mains come well under $5, which includes other local favourites such as char siew, roasted pork, and smoked duck – served either with rice or noodles.
