Time Out says

Original review by Marc Checkley on August 5 2010:

There are some dishes that never go out of style, fish ’n’ chips being one of ’em. And when you get a craving for this age-old favourite you can opt for the cheap as chips, fast-food variety or go for the halibut, and pay hook, line and sinker for a meal. Thankfully this cosy bistro on Greenwood Avenue anchors itself somewhere in the middle, offering fresh selections of the ocean’s finest without landing a weighty bill.

The fish, nearly 30 varieties of them, come in four grades; from $27.95, through to the exclusive catch of the day ($34.95), flown in direct that morning. The fillets can be prepared four ways, the most popular being pan-seared or battered. The latter is a bit hit and miss: the batter can come off stodgy, masking the taste of the fluffy white alfonsino. The marlin (New Zealand swordfish), however, comes off light and crispy to the last bite. A garden salad and ample serving of chips (not hand-cut) are served alongside.
