Chef Kenjiro ‘Hatch’ Hashida of Hashida Sushi fame is expanding his culinary repertoire with the addition of Hashida Garo, specialising in wagashi (traditional Japanese sweets) served with Japanese tea. Chef Hatch’s second F&B venture is decked out with a tatami platform, which can be transformed into a performance stage for tea ceremonies. Hashida Garo also serves up Ishikawa-made sake exclusive to the brand and otsumami (small portions of food accompanying sake), in addition to bento boxes, fresh Japanese fruits and dried foodstuff available in the retail section.
