The craze for eggy, fluffy castella cakes may have died down slightly – judging by the lack of a queue – but there’s no arguing that Le Castella’s version of the pillowy cake is a cut above the rest. One of three outlets in Singapore, they keep their menu simple (Original, Cheese and Chocolate) and maintain the baked on premises standard.
