Time Out says

Tanjong Pagar has no shortage of A-list restaurants, but Marcy’s strikes a chord with those seeking a romantic dining experience. As a modern seafood restaurant and cocktail bar, it’s all very European here – it’s a package deal at this bistro, with many diners applauding the ambience and quality of service staff.

Upon entering, you can’t pinpoint the exact time period nor country’s cultural influence, but it’s filled with somewhat quasi-European statement pieces: Tiffany lamps, gold gilt-framed paintings and velvet drapes. Fancy decor aside, it’s far from fine-dining with a menu that’s distinctly communal. It’s made up of sharing plates, similar to a casual tapas joint, with plates that are “small” and “not-so-small”.

It’s recommended that one person gets two “small” plates and one “not-so-small”. This way, you’ll be tasting a myriad of different dishes, from wagyu tartare ($26) to crab toast ($24). It’s the arroz negro ($36) that sounds particularly appetising, a black rice dish that comes with squid and uni. End with a sweet finish: the pecan pie sundae ($14) goes sinfully overboard with vanilla gelato and cookie crumbs, but it's worth every calorie.
