Freshly baked Filipino comfort food comes in the form of Mary Grace, a popular and iconic Filipino bakery brand that’s recognised for its famously delicious ensaymadas, fluffy cheese rolls and mango bene. Making its home at Tanjong Pagar’s Tras Street, the Singapore outlet marks its first-ever store outside of the Philippines. The bakery-café has only 28 seats and offers takeaway options, but has been designed to replicate the homely, cottage-inspired look and feel of its original outposts.
On the menu are its signature pastries with Singapore-exclusive flavours, such as salted egg ensaymada and kaya pandan cheese rolls, which you can pair with beverages like hot chocolate and Ube Coconut Cloud. For heartier options, the outlet also serves Filipino brunch staples like Angus beef tapa, grilled chicken inasal focaccia sandwich and crab cake brioche.
Mary Grace was founded in 1994, and originally began as a takeaway stall in 2002, before opening its first dine-in café four years later. It's now a household name in the Philippines, with more than 140 locations across the country.
