Time Out says

Imagine having a restaurant so busy that you refuse to answer the telephone at all. Well, here it is. PS Cafe only takes bookings by SMS and does not take bookings at all for brunch on Sunday. But it is worth the wait – just check out the huge pieces of home-made rocky-road on the counter as you walk in. The menu is quite restricted but delicious, and the service is brisk. Sit indoors near the open kitchen or outside overlooking the leafy environs. On Sundays, expect a 30-minute wait – don’t fret as we have seen some others doing, just put your name down and stroll around Dempsey Road for a while. Actually, that should help to ensure that you can manage all three courses.

Other branches: PS Cafe at The Paragon and PS Cafe at Palais Renaissance.

What’s on

The Harding Weekender

The PS. Café outlet on Harding Road is about to undergo a makeover. But before it closes its doors temporarily, the beloved brunch spot is throwing a lil celebration to mark the end of a chapter. The Harding Weekender isn’t just another brunch party – it brings together some of your favourite local makers, artists and vintage collectors for two days of thoughtful shopping, with each vendor promising something a little different. Browse everything from reworked vintage fashion and handcrafted leather bags to antique jewellery, niche perfumes, quirky home decor and furniture. If you’re a music lover, don’t skip Avant Culture Club, which will be offering crates packed with obscure pressings, new releases and classic vinyl records. Meanwhile, PS. Café regulars, your loyalty won’t go unnoticed. The café is giving away a selection of branded keepsakes so you can take home a piece of the café with you. Think tote bags, soaps and even tableware from its kitchen. P.S. We also hear there will be unlimited servings of its signature truffle fries all day if you purchase a main dish. And if you’re bringing your furkids, they’ll receive complimentary pup cups, too. Get ready to dig in.
