Redpan is the brainchild of DP Architects and restaurateurs The Food Explorer Group, owners of the popular GRUB bistro. This union marries aesthetic elements of design with the gastronomic world of food – so expect lots of Instagram fodder, like the corn-fed duck breast ($24) served on a marble slab. Redpan also injects familiar local flavours to classic Western dishes in its prawn and hae bee hiam pasta ($15) and lup cheong mac 'n' cheese ($12). The banana donuts made Milo Dinosaur-style ($7) with a drizzle of condensed milk and Milo powder is a sweet way to round off a meal, but if you prefer to drink your desserts, try the sour plum shandy ($12).
