Boasting 14 branches across Japan, the three-generation Shisen Hanten makes its first international debut on our shores at Mandarin Orchard Singapore. The Chinese restaurant was founded in 1958 by the late Chen Kenmin – aka Japan's 'Father of Sichuan cuisine' – and is now helmed by his grandson Chen Kentaro.
The à la carte menu features chef Kentaro's specialties, such as the stir-fried wagyu beef with Sichuan chili peppers ($34). It also has a weekend dim sum brunch buffet that includes Peking duck and other signature selections ($50). In addition to the cuisine perfected by the three celebrity chefs, indulge in a rich dining experience in Shisen Hanten's multi-million dollar interior. Be bowled over in its majestic dining hall, adorned in hues of black, gold and red, accentuated by charming furnishings of exquisite Chinese artwork, with a fusion of a modern contemporary touch in floor-to-ceiling glass panels.
