What this coffee nook lacks in size, it makes up for in good looks. Stamping Ground Coffee is tucked into a unit that looks practically like a hollowed out pillar at the entrance of Emerald Garden condo along Club Street. Their custom white and copper La Marzocco machine and Mazza bean grinder dominates the otherwise monochromatic room.
Given its tight space, its young owners, banker Lim Shuwei and ex-restaurant kitchen chef Charlene Chow, have kept their product line simple: espresso-based drinks ($4-$5.50) are brewed with the very agreeable Papa Palheta's Throwback blend here. A fridge stocks bottles of cold brews ($6-$7) steeped with chocolatey Guatamalan La Pastora single origin beans, along with almond nut milk ($8) and chia seed drinks ($6) bottled in-house. Sandwiches like their tuna melt ($6), tomato, pesto and mozzarella ($6) can be toasted to order.
