This brick-and-mortar dessert establishment by illustrious baker Hannah Wong (formerly of The Patissier) proffers bold, quirkily-named cupcakes and bakes like the Ugly Sue, a soft crumbly meringue filled with passionfruit mousse and three types of berries ($7/four pieces). The Pucker, a dainty tart shell holding a concoction of white chocolate, sour lime foam and lime jelly ($5) packs a sour punch, and the colourful profiteroles are piped with different flavoured mousse ($5/three). It’s mostly takeaway for now – although a couple of seats are available – while a small retail section in the middle of the old-school space holds curated products such as conserves from local jam-maker GSH, wine-inspired teas from a.muse projects and designer terrariums by Green Banana.
