When it comes to amazing sourdough bakes, Tiong Bahru Bakery (TBB) has been delivering consistently over the years. This time the bakery is stepping it up with the TBB Sourdough Workshop – so you can start making your own sourdough bread at home. 

If you haven't been to the most recent TBB outlet at Fort Canning Foothills – you should. The sprawling space has a dining and retail section where you can enjoy brunch surrounded by the lush greenery and also pick up loaves and TBB merchandise, and next to it is a dedicated space for the kitchens and also where the workshops will be held. 

Workshops will be guided by Chef Paul Albert, TBB's sourdough expert and baker – but he won't be the only main character here. Participants will also be working with (and taking home some!) his 160-year-old sourdough mother which was given to him and he developed in his time in Brazil.

There will be two types of workshops: Beginner Classes and Intermediate Classes that will give you a hands-on session creating your own bakes on top of learning other basics of sourdough baking like maintaining a starter and introduction to the types of flour. Not only will you be able to bring home your bakes at the end of the day, each participant will also go home with a baking starter kit that includes a Banneton, the recipe, ingredients and more.
