Singaporeans know that this city is home to some of the best places to eat in the world. In fact, we wear it with pride. A melting pot of different cultures, this is an amazing place for taking on Quandoo’s #TasteTheWorld challenge, which encourages Singaporeans to try as many cuisines as possible in November. We’ve teamed up with Quandoo to celebrate a selection of restaurants that need to be on your radar. Decided on which one you’re visiting first? Book through the restaurant’s website and you’ll earn double loyalty points until the end of November. Wins all round!

Take a trip to Korea through Bigmama’s restaurant of home-style cooking. This place prides itself on authentic eats that are not only delicious, but they’re good for you too. Speciality dishes include pan-fried chicken dakgalbi, suyuk steamed pork belly and kimchi jeon pancake. If all this is getting your stomach rumbling, pay them a visit in Tiong Bahru.

ShuKuu is bringing traditional Japanese izakaya vibes to Telok Ayer. Expect nothing but the finest ingredients, as this place flies in a special kind of rice straight from Hokkaido and pays careful attention to each of its recipes. Make sure to try the chicken liver in soy sauce, sake-cooked oysters and surume squid in ink batter.

Feeling thirsty? No. 5 Emerald Hill has a martini for that. Actually, this place has a martini for every mood, palate or occasion. Get your fill of lychee, yuzu and passion fruit-infused creations, or opt for a classic dry gin or dirty vodka concoction, with regular two for $28 deals. Of course, there’s a decent choice of light bites and bar snacks to enjoy as you try them all.

Found at Collyer Quay, this restaurant is serving up mouthwatering Thai dishes that are fit for royalty. No really, the head curry chef cooked for HRH Princess Srinagarindra of the Thai Royal Family. With this in mind, you simply must order the ‘jungle curry’ with chicken, beef or pork served in an aromatic broth.

Fancy a trip to France without a hefty airfare? Delve into a menu of coq au vin, confit duck, snapper en papillote and more at Bistro Du Vin. Located in Shaw Centre, this restaurant is giving you proper French bistro vibes. Of course, no dinner here would be complete without a glass of wine from the long list of expertly sourced bottles.

Publico Ristorante is a Robertson Quay Italian restaurant specialising in fresh pasta, woodfired pizza and decadent desserts. If you’re obsessed with all things cheese, this is a top spot for its dedicated burrata section. There’s also a brilliant weekend brunch menu with the option to add bottomless drinks to kick-start the weekend.

Channelling Spanish vibes for your next night out, Wine Connection is a must for the grape-obsessed among us. This place serves a superb selection of wines from across the globe, available by the bottle or glass. And of course, you can’t make your way through the menu without trying some signature tapas, the mussels are a real winner.

A one-stop-shop for Italian cuisine, this restaurant will make you feel like you’re in a rustic tavern with its antique touches, pretty copper adornments and wooden furniture. Expect a cosy atmosphere with authentic yet affordable dishes that are just like mama used to make ‘em. Make sure to pair these with one of the cocktails for the full experience.

Knots Café and Living specialises in nourishing, wholesome food from buttermilk waffle breakfasts stacked with smoked beef sausage, mushroom and scrambled eggs, to delicious fish and chips with swoon-worthy truffle fries. If you’ve got a sweet tooth? There’s no way you can pass on the selection of cakes available from the counter.
