Time Out says

Get your grill on at this shophouse restaurant, which serves up fresh cuts of smoky meat. Carnivores will want to stick their forks in the wagyu tri-tip ($49/$65) or Hungarian Mangalica pork chop ($45) paired with an apple and sage salad. A selection of burgers also features prominently on the menu – there's the classic BLT ($24) but those looking for something lighter can opt for the swordfish ($26) topped with herb mayo and mango salsa. A trip to The Market Grill also won't be complete without a taste of its lobster roll ($52), a whole lobster chopped and dressed in herb and pommery mustard mayo ensconced between a toasted brioche roll.

Absolutely horrible customer service from the OWNER of the restaurant, not even the staff. I ordered a lobster roll and burger earlier than expected. Staff rang me twice to say food was ready and I told them i was on my way. Being a Saturday, traffic was slightly heavier than normal. Twice i told them I am on my way, i live on the other side of singapore but wife really wanted to try their lobster roll. So bo pian, happy wife, happy life. When i was near by i received a 3rd phone call at 2.22pm from the manager/owner of the restaurant, asking where i was and that they were closing. I was barely 5mins away, however she blatantly said she was only going to wait 10mins. So after confirming twice by telephone and reassuring that I am on my way just encountering traffic, she still rudely told me that she was only going to wait 10mins.

When i was on Telok Ayer St, i missed the place and made a turn at ann siang hill. I parked my car and jogged up and down the street trying to look for the place to no avail so i rang them for directions. Yes she was kind enough stand by the side of the road to look out for my car. Total bill came up to $80, and she wasn't willing to wait an extra 5 mins. Extremely rude lady, i think her staff has a better attitude than her. I have not encountered a restaurant whereby they are willing will ignore the sale even though I have given them assurance that I am on my way. The fact that the owner exuded such unwillingness to wait an extra 5 mins and the tone/ultimatum she conveyed, I will never ever recommend the place to anyone else. She completely disregarded the fact that i am near by and already on the way. I am now regretting collecting my order. She was extremely rude. It was only for the wife's request that i went ahead to collect my order. Otherwise, being a customer I don't think I should have been spoken to in that manner. Never ever going to patronise the place anymore and I wouldn't recommend anyone to do so.
